What is civility?

Civility is showing basic respect to all people, regardless of what they are, making all judgments based on who they are.

Treating other people and their opinions with respect even though you might not understand them.

Being respectful to all.

Civility means keeping your cool and professionalism without displaying personal opinions on your face in response to controversial issues, you act in a way that does not reflect your own notions in the interest of making everyone feel accepted

Having the mannerisms that are fit for a professional and collegiate atmosphere.

Civility means treating everyone with respect and open mindedness.

Civility means that everyone is treated with acceptance and respect.

Civility to me means to be respectful to others differences and understanding where they came from.

Civility is inclusive language and chivalry

Civility means trying to understand why someone may see from a certain point of view. It means understanding that we are all different but able to respect each other.

Civility means coinciding with your neighbors in a friendly manner .

Civility is giving others the respect that everyone deserves. It means treating someone as you would wish to be treated.

Civility means doing what's right and treating everyone respectfully regardless of race, sex, age, ability, etc.

Civility is when you are able and willing to get along with others regardless of there race, ethnicity, etc.

Civility means to accept and respect everybody regardless of any difference from you.

Civility means behaving in a way that is courteous and displays the advancement as a society that we have gained.

Civility, to me, means that we must treat all people equally.

Civility simply means treating others in a kind, respectful, and equal manner no matter their race, language, body type, beliefs, or any sort of physical or mental disorder

Having a Courteous attitude to anyone, no matter their beliefs or anything about them

that you give everyone respect now matter their differences.

Civility means to me respecting, caring for, and supporting any individual one comes in contact with, regardless of the features of the individual.

To me civility means whatever the most current definition of the word is. Fact is fact. I do not enjoy partaking in connotations.

Civility means that we have to treat people how we would expect to be treated by others, especially if we disagree with their values or opinions.

Civility is doing your best to improve the state of the people around you by loving one another

Civility is important not only on the campus, but later in life. It means to be respectful of people even if they are different. Differences such as religion, color, and sex shouldn't stand in our way of being polite to each other. We are all equal!
