To me, "civility" means always being a positive and kind person. It means not letting someones differences effect the way you treat people.

I will be a freshman this year at UTK and am looking forward to this new experience. I'm very excited to see what my future holds at UTK and hope to bring another positive body on campus.

Civility means accepting everyone for who they are, no matter how different they are from how you are yourself. Accept that they are different but treat everybody the same regardless.

Civility means accepting and respecting people for who they are, no matter what they do, what they believe, or where they are from. It doesn't matter how different they are. Everyone has to treat each other as one wants to be treated.

Civility means respecting other people regardless of their identity and views. Civility isn't just something that is shown to people you do not know. It is shown to everyone, no matter how close you are and no matter the circumstances.
