What is civility?

Treating people how you want to be treated, regardless of their own ways that make them who they are.

Seeing everyone as equal. Although you may not agree with the way someone lives their lives, in the end you have to find a way to peacefully live in the same atmosphere and treat everyone with respect.

To me it means treating everybody, no matter who they are, the way I would want to be treated.

Civility means to respect other people's beliefs and opinions.

Civility means being open-minded and loving everyone.

Civility means being respectful and acting in a way that is respectful to all people of a society.

Civility means being respectful and acting in a way that is respectful to all people of a society.

Civility to me, means respecting someone despite your differences.

To me, civility means a peaceful coexistence. You don't have to be best friends with someone to be civil with them. All that is required for civility is manners or a respect for the life of a human person.

Civility means treating others the way you wish to be treated. It's accepting everyone regardless of their background or opinions.

Being respectful towards others no matter how different they may be from you. Everyone deserves to be treated the same.

Love and appreciation for things you don't always understand or agree with.

Civility means that you look beyond typical dividing factors to treat all individuals with the same courtesy and respect you yourself would desire.

I believe civility means being to respectful to everyone around you.

Civility means giving everyone a fair chance without judging them based on your personal beliefs.

Civility means being open to everyone and everything regardless of appearance

Civility means acting the way my parents taught me.

Accepting and supporting others, regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender, and religion. Civility is standing up for what's right and looking out for those around you.

Kindness and respecting others

It means that despite differences in opinions and beliefs, people can have a polite and uplifting discussion about a certain topic.

Civility means being respectful to all people regardless of who they are or where they come from.

Civility means treat others the way you want to be treated and never judge another person. Always assume that you do not truly know this person and must therefore treat them with kindness because you never know what is really in their brain or what problems they may have faced or face in life. Never ask about things like weight, race, color, sexual orientation, etc. etc. Wait for the person to tell you about themselves if they want to, don't be nosy or rude. And never judge a person for anything outside of their control, in fact, just don't judge and generally mind your own business.

Civility means that every person makes an effort to get along with others who do not necessarily conform to that person's views or belief system.

Civility means treating everyone with respect no matter what the circumstances are.
