What is civility?

Civility is genuine respect of all people no matter who they are or where they come from.

Civility means accepting all people at all costs no matter how much they may differ from you. Accepting and respecting everyone.

Civility means that we accept each other and their opinions regardless of their race, sex, gender, etc. It means that we respect others and their beliefs even if we disagree.

Civility is treating others how you want to be treated- with kindness and respect.

Civility means treating others the way that you wish to be treated yourself by being kind and courteous despite their actions.

Civility means being polite to everyone and not being rude to people based upon what they look like.

Civility means the acceptance of everyone, no matter who they are.

Civility is a synonym for kindness to me because in order to be civil you must be able to work with other people in your community.

Civility means being respectful even if you don't approve.

Civility mean that you are respectful to everyone no matter how different they are.

To me civility means acceptance. Acceptance of every one regardless of their own traits, personalities, and beliefs. Civility is accepting differences.

To me, civility means to accept everyone for who they are and appreciate the background they come from. Everyone one brings something different to the table so its important to create a relationship with the people surrounding you.

Civility to me means to respect all people as they are as a person. If they are friendly, interesting and a trustworthy person to you, then they should be respected as such no matter their sexual orientation, race or intended religion.

Civility means treating everyone with kindness and respect no matter what their opinions and beliefs.

To me civility means that we can unite as one group of people and enjoy the college experience together no matter what our backgrounds are.

Civility means to respect the actions of others regardless of whether or not you agree with them. Of course actions should not inflict on others' rights.

Civility is respecting everyone, but not being afraid to have an opinion.

To me, civility means to accept everyone and be courteous of the people around you.

It means doing the right thing by helping everyone around you regardless of race, religion, gender, etc.

To respect everyone regardless of their backgrounds or different perspectives.
